An Icy Morning

posted from Mark's email:
Everyone is OK, but it was slippery.
Mike went down pretty easy on some black ice going up Tunnel (no injuries). That opened our eyes.
We turned around at the top & went back to Domingo Peet's. On the way down it was light, so we saw all the ice we hadn't seen on the way up...scary....
At Peet's Ladybird finally called us to let us know she had gone down up around Dave's hill. (She had decided to ride on her own). Mike went and got her.
She was shivering, has a bruised leg and a small cut on her forehead, but otherwise OK.
I got chewed out when I got home for riding in this weather....We were lucky today. Let's be safe.

i got a bee in my bonnet this morning about south park (going up it) so went it alone. ok, so maybe i'm a dumb bird. half way up the ice started. there was a guy out with his two dogs and all 3 were literally skating down the hill. anyway, i was afraid y'all were going to head down south park so i scurried to the top and waited. but no KTs appeared. so i started very slowly down grizzly peak. it was all going swimmingly until a car pulled out in front of the car directly in front of me. the car started to spin, i braked and started siding, the car in the oncoming lane started to skid and we all sort of spun around for a
bit and came to a halt. i'm fine. thank god for layers; my tights
shredded right off my bum. thankfully i had shorts underneath.

thank you mike for the swift and warm transportation.

see you friday!
